KENTUCKY — Louisville Metro Police arrested three people after a months-long investigation into what officials called a “significant narcotics organization” operating in the Park Hill neighborhood.
LMPD said the drug bust happened at a Park Hill housing complex following extensive investigative work.
Officers recovered three guns — including one reported stolen — along with multiple types of drugs. Three people were arrested and five others were cited.
Those arrested or cited include: Demetrius Cole, 39; Chris Moore, 34; Ricky Demus, 48; Siobhan Smith, 42; Glen Sydnor, 52; Jerricka Majot, 19; Demonte Parrish, 27; and D’Eric Burns, 26. LMPD said Cole and Smith were formally charged on Nov. 17, and a third arrested individual has not yet been identified.
Cole faces charges for engaging in organized crime and trafficking methamphetamine, marijuana and cocaine. Police said some of the marijuana seized tested positive for methamphetamine.
Smith is charged with engaging in organized crime, tampering with physical evidence and trafficking methamphetamine and marijuana. Court documents say she removed a bag from a vehicle to hide evidence.
In a statement, LMPD said removing “dangerous drugs, firearms and vehicles tied to criminal activity” is a key part of its Crime Reduction Strategic Plan and its efforts to build trust in Park Hill, one of the department’s Sustained Focus Improvement areas.
