The Monday Powerball drawing has also failed to produce a jackpot winner. To say that it was an uneventful drawing would be an understatement, given it included two Match 5s and many tier-three wins.
The Monday Powerball drawing gave players another chance at the jackpot, putting $691 million on the line. If anyone had matched all five white numbers plus the red Powerball, they would have been able to choose between the annuity for the entire value or the one-time payment of $294.4 million.
Unfortunately for the players, such a win did not materialize. For reference, the winning numbers on October 26 were 18, 26, 49, 50, and 54, with the red Powerball 1. The Power Play multiplier for that drawing was three times.
As previously stated, the drawing saw two players match all five white numbers, narrowly missing the nine-figure jackpot. As a result, each of these ticket holders is now eligible to receive a $1 million compensation. According to the Powerball announcement, the two winners were from Florida and Georgia.
Meanwhile, seventeen additional players matched four white numbers plus the Powerball to win tier-three prizes. Fourteen of these players won $50,000 apiece, with the remaining three winning $150,000 each thanks to the Power Play feature and 3x multiplier.
While the jackpot survived the drawing, players will have another chance to win it on Wednesday when the next drawing takes place. Current estimates have the jackpot for the October 29 drawing at $716 million, with a cash option of $307.2 million.
