A body was discovered Friday at the Rumpke Recycling Facility in St. Bernard, a Rumpke spokesperson said.
According to the spokesman, the body was discovered soon before noon among incoming material at the St. Bernard plant, situated at 5535 Vine St.
Operations at the plant were promptly halted, and law enforcement was notified. The spokesperson stated that there was no impact on services when the body was discovered.
According to St. Bernard police, the body was discovered on one of the facility’s conveyor belts and pronounced dead on the scene.
The individual’s identify and cause of death have not been disclosed.
According to police, the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office responded to the site and is now aiding with the investigation.
