A Booneville man is behind bars on a charge involving a child.
According to the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Office, Cristofer Clinton Carpenter, 39, was arrested after an investigation into a claim of a four-year-old being sexually touched.
Investigators stated that the child later participated in a forensic interview and made a revelation.
Carpenter has been charged with one crime of molestation, which is touching a child for lustful purposes.
A court placed him bond at $100,000 and ordered no contact with the alleged victim or his family.
