Indiana State Police reported that during a traffic stop on Sunday, they discovered $3.8 million in cocaine.
State police said Sunday afternoon that they stopped a commercial truck going east on I-70 in Putnam County, near Indianapolis, for an inspection.
Police said the driver informed them he was transporting an empty trailer from Memphis to Indianapolis, but troopers discovered he was operating “below industry standards” and seized the vehicle.
According to state police, when they impounded the vehicle, they discovered at least five duffel bags containing 277 pounds of cocaine worth an estimated $3.8 million.
The motorist, who authorities say lives in Greenwood, Indiana, was arrested. According to state police, he is currently being held at Putnam County Jail.
Singh’s exact charges were not immediately revealed. It was also unclear when Singh was due in court.
No other information was immediately provided.
