The woman discovered deceased at Patapsco Valley State Park in Halethorpe has been identified as Phuong Lihn Dang, 39, of Silver Spring, by Maryland Natural Resources Police.
Dang’s body was discovered on Monday in Lost Lake after cops responded to a call about a deceased adult around 3:30 p.m. The autopsy will be handled by Baltimore’s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The circumstances surrounding her death are unknown.
Officers determined that there is no immediate danger to the public, and the Glen Artney Area of Patapsco Valley State Park is now available to visitors.
Maryland Natural Resources Police are requesting that anybody who visited Patapsco Valley State Park on Monday, August 31, particularly near Lost Lake and the Grist Mill trailhead, contact investigators.
They are specifically looking for information from anyone who spotted Dang, who is described as an Asian female wearing a blue sweater and denim shorts, or who witnessed any activity or interactions that could be useful in the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Maryland Natural Resources Police at 410-260-8888.
