The National Weather Service has issued a warning for four states in the United States for possibly dangerous storms on Tuesday, September 1.
As September begins, terrible weather will arrive.
The United States is warning four states of possibly severe storms, including huge hail and damaging winds, on Tuesday.
“A multi-day severe weather event could kick off Tuesday across parts of the Northeast! An upper-level disturbance pivoting out of the Great Lakes will track along the edge of a strong ridge and collide with a very warm, humid airmass. Soundings indicate elongated and curved hodographs, which indicates that wind shear will be favorable for a few supercellular structures to develop. Any stronger storms that get organized will be capable of producing damaging wind gusts, hail, and potentially an isolated tornado. Morning cloud cover could create localized heating boundaries that alter where storms develop, so there could be changes to the slight risk’s location as we get closer to Tuesday,” the warning states.
Four US states have been placed on alert:
- New York
- New Jersey
- Pennsylvania
- Delaware
