A 19-year-old was brutally attacked while riding a subway in Manhattan on Thursday afternoon, according to the NYPD.
The incident occurred on the northbound No. 5 train at 4:30 p.m., according to police. According to reports, the attack occurred as the train approached the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall Station.
According to the NYPD, an unidentified individual repeatedly struck the victim in the head with a metal water bottle and punched him in the face. The victim was also placed in a choking hold.
According to police, the suspect exited the train at the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall station.
The sufferer was transferred to a local hospital and is in stable condition.
