A 24-year-old Montgomery County man was detained early Friday morning after Anne Arundel County Police said they discovered a loaded weapon during a traffic stop in Laurel.
According to Anne Arundel County Police, at around 1:10 a.m. on July 17, an officer performed a traffic stop on a 2023 Chevrolet Malibu in the 3400 block of Laurel Fort Meade Road.
During the stop, the officer found a loaded black 9mm Polymer 80 handgun in a bag beneath the driver’s seat. The driver was brought into jail and charged.
Police identified the driver as Xavier Alexander Graves, 24, of Silver Spring. Police did not offer a photo of the suspect.
