Chicago police are warning residents on the Northwest Side about an attempted child luring involving a package delivery man who allegedly approached a 13-year-old girl on her front porch.
The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. A CPD community alert stated that the incident occurred on Thursday, July 10, 2026, in the 6200 block of North Naper Avenue.
According to police, the girl was sitting on her doorstep when a man arrived and offered, “Do you want to make some extra money?”
When she asked what he meant, he repeated the query and added, “I’ll show you on my phone.” “Follow me.”
The girl then entered her residence, according to the notice.
The man was described by police as a Black male between the ages of 20 and 30, with a dark complexion, standing between 5 feet 7 and 5 feet 10 inches tall and having lengthy dreadlocks.
