A missing woman’s body was discovered inside a vehicle in a Tampa fast-food parking lot early Sunday morning, prompting an active investigation.
On July 5, 2026, at 6:57 a.m., the manager of the McDonald’s at 2205 East Fletcher Avenue called 911. The caller reported seeing an unresponsive person inside a car on the property.
When officers arrived at the site, they saw a black Volkswagen Tiguan parked on the north side of the restaurant lot. Authorities have named the deceased female occupant of the vehicle as Erica Giordano, 36.
According to sheriff’s office records, Giordano was reported missing and last seen by her family on July 2, 2026.
Detectives reported that a preliminary inspection of the body revealed no visible evidence of trauma or damage. Officials have not announced a possible cause of death, and the sheriff’s office reports that the inquiry is ongoing.
