Armored Truck Robbery Suspect Arrested After $500K Heist Outside Prince George’s County Bank

A Capitol Heights man has been taken into custody in connection with a daring armored truck robbery in Clinton that netted more than $500,000. Investigators are still looking for additional suspects.

Prince George’s County police have apprehended one of the individuals accused of stealing more than $500,000 from an armored truck outside a bank in late 2025.

The suspect, 31-year-old Jerronta Bryant of Capitol Heights, was arrested last week following a months-long investigation by the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Robbery Unit.

According to authorities, several individuals are still at large, and detectives are aggressively seeking to locate and apprehend those involved.

Armed Robbery Targeted Cash Delivery

The incident took place on November 3 at around 8:25 a.m. in the 8800 block of Woodyard Road in Clinton.

Officers responded to reports of an armed robbery using an armored truck outside a bank.

According to detectives, multiple individuals approached the armored truck driver as he was about to deliver cash to the bank.

The thieves allegedly stole over $500,000 before fleeing the scene.

The driver sustained minor injuries during the robbery.

Fugitive Task Force Tracks Down Suspect

Detectives identified Bryant as one of the robbers using a variety of investigative procedures.

On Wednesday, officers of the Prince George’s County Police Department Fugitive Unit collaborated with the United States Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, based at Bryant in Washington, D.C.

He was detained without incident and is currently in detention awaiting extradition to Prince George’s County.

During the arrest, authorities found a handgun.

Charges Filed, More Arrests Expected

Bryant has been charged with armed robbery and related crimes.

Police have not disclosed any additional information about the handgun found during his detention.

Investigators are still looking for leads on the remaining individuals and have offered a reward for information that leads to additional arrests and charges.
