Hudson woman taken into custody for stealing $550 in merchandise from Shrewsbury Five Below

Officer Noah Juaire was one of the Shrewsbury police officers assigned to Five Below, situated at 50 Boston Turnpike, on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at around 5:12 p.m., in response to an allegation of a shoplifting incident that occurred about 15 minutes earlier.

“The reporting party stated that a male with black pants, a blue jacket, and a dog, along with a white female, with blue pants, and a hat had shoplifted from the business approximately fifteen minutes prior, and the reporting party believed they were still on foot in the lot of White City,” Juaire said.

The female suspect, Nicole Sanches, was apprehended at the Burger King at 53 Boston Turnpike.

Nicole Sanches, 30, lives in Hudson, Massachusetts, according to authorities.

“She was located by witnesses stating the female in question had fled behind Burger King, where the officer later located her,” Juaire added. “Sanches admitted to taking items advertised for sale by Five Below and concealing them inside two pink duffel bags before exiting the business, bypassing all points of sale, without attempting to pay for the merchandise.”

Officer Juaire reported that $550.63 in items was stolen from the establishment. Sanches was also discovered to have an ongoing warrant out of Clinton District Court for possession of a Class A substance arising from a March 31, 2023, incident in Bolton, MA.

Nicole Sanches, 30, of Hudson was arrested and accused of the following:

  • Larceny Under $1,200
  • Warrant Arrest

Sanches’ arraignment was set for the morning of May 11, 2026, in Westborough District Court.
