GREENWICH, CT — An Old Greenwich business recently sold a winning lottery ticket worth $3.4 million, extending a hot streak that has produced several big prizes in recent months, the Connecticut Lottery reported.
The Gulf station at 1324 E. Putnam Ave. sold the winning Lotto! ticket, which matched all six numbers drawn on Friday, June 12: 7, 18, 21, 25, 34, 40.
The same retailer sold a $25,000 scratch-off winner just a few weeks earlier and a $1 million scratch-off winner in 2025, the Connecticut Lottery noted.
In 2024, the retailer also sold a scratch-off ticket worth $4.3 million, plus $40,000 and $30,000 winners over the past two years.
“I was worried for a little while that I had gotten cold,” said store owner Filomena Lamichhane in an announcement from the Connecticut Lottery. “It’s good to be back being a lucky location for players. I’m looking forward to making another one!”
The latest Lotto! jackpot follows another big win just months earlier, when a Groton player claimed a $6.8 million jackpot in the Feb. 3 drawing. That ticket was sold at the Big Y World Class Market on Poquonnock Road in Groton.
Lottery officials said the winner of Friday’s $3.4 million jackpot has 180 calendar days from the drawing date to claim the prize.
