A Miami man was taken into custody Thursday after allegedly communicating with undercover detectives posing as handlers for underage girls during a multi-agency child exploitation operation.
Kenly Agledor, 33, was charged with promoting or attempting to promote a child’s sexual performance, according to an arrest report.
Investigators from the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office Human Trafficking Task Force and the City of Miami Police Department claimed Agledor responded to an undercover advertisement and discussed meeting a 15-year-old girl for a sexual encounter in exchange for money.
According to the complaint, Agledor later agreed to provide money via Cash App in exchange for additional footage involving the supposed kid.
Authorities claimed a subpoena for the Cash App account, combined with phone records and other evidence, assisted in identifying Agledor as the culprit.
He was arrested Thursday after a traffic stop in Miami, and he subsequently rejected the claims during an interview with detectives, according to the article.
A judge established probable cause and placed the bond at $15,000. According to jail records, Agledor is also being held on an immigration detainer.
