Louisville Metro Police announced the arrest of an 18-year-old in connection with a gunshot investigation on September 2, 2025.
According to LMPD, the 18-year-old is charged with murder and second-degree assault following a gunshot around 4 p.m. in the 10100 block of Laurent Way. According to police, three people were shot that day: a 17-year-old who was wounded in the head and sent to UofL Hospital in serious condition, another 17-year-old with a gunshot wound to the leg, and an 18-year-old with a gunshot wound to the forearm.
The suspect is now an adult however he was a juvenile at the time of the shooting. Because of this, officials have requested that his identity be kept hidden.
