A 23-year-old man was killed about midnight on Tuesday near Ypsilanti.
According to a June 9 announcement from the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office, police were summoned to a business complex in the 2000 block of Golfside Road in Ypsilanti Township after receiving multiple complaints of shots fired.
According to authorities, emergency personnel discovered one victim lying on the ground and immediately began providing treatment. The individual was declared dead at the site.
Police did not immediately disclose additional details about the man.
This is Washtenaw County’s first recorded homicide this year.
