The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office claimed in a Facebook post that two people were taken into custody on Saturday after responding to allegations of an ongoing burglary at a Smithland mansion.
According to the LCSO, deputies were summoned to the Smith Mansion on Court Street in Smithland, Kentucky, for an ongoing burglary investigation. When deputies arrived, they discovered two suspects who reportedly fled the residence on foot.
The suspects were arrested after a short search. Deputies detained Aiden Shirkrisin, 18, of Kuttawa, and Nathan Lapradd, 18, of Marion. Shirkrisin was charged with second-degree burglary and third-degree fleeing or evading police, while Lapradd was charged with first-degree criminal trespassing and third-degree fleeing or evading officers.
Both individuals were arrested and brought to McCracken County Jail. They are assumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
