A man and a teen have been charged with attempted murder following the shooting of three men in Cordova on Sunday night.
Jermiah White, 18, and a 15-year-old were charged with three charges of attempted first-degree murder, especially aggravated robbery, two counts of attempted aggravated robbery, three counts of using a handgun during a hazardous felony, and tampering with evidence.
Deputies with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) responded to a shots-fired complaint in the 1700 block of Anisetree Drive shortly after 9 p.m. on Sunday.
When deputies got to the site, they discovered many shot casings and learned that three men had arrived at Methodist North Hospital in personal automobiles.
One man remains in serious condition, while the other two patients are in stable condition.
On Monday, about 1:30 a.m., detectives searched the house in the 7100 block of Anisetree Drive and arrested Jermiah White and a teenager, according to SCSO.
Authorities say the teen was brought to the juvenile detention centre. This is a continuing investigation.
White is set to appear in court on Tuesday. His bond hasn’t been established.
