Police apprehended five armed robbery suspects as they tried to flee into southern Indiana.
Police said the suspects, who are all juveniles, allegedly robbed a vendor at gunpoint before fleeing north on the Big Four Bridge on Monday.
According to a social media post from the Jeffersonville Police Department, officers assigned to the Big Four Station Park apprehended the five criminals before they could fully cross into southern Indiana.
The suspects were turned over to the Louisville Metro Police Department and charged with robbery counts.
This incident is another example of the strong partnership and communication between Jeffersonville Police and LMPD,” the department shared. “In addition, having JPD officers assigned to the Big Four Station Park allowed for an immediate response. This was demonstrated by their ability to apprehend the suspects before they even entered Indiana.”
Details about the juvenile suspects, including their ages and charges, were not released.
