Police have made an arrest in connection with a non-fatal shooting that occurred in the Taylor Berry Neighborhood on April 3.
Officers responded to a report at 11:12 p.m. on Friday, April 3, from a 16-year-old male who arrived at Mary & Elizabeth Hospital with a gunshot wound.
According to the first inquiry, the adolescent was shot in the 1400 block of Arcade Avenue. The person was transported to UofL Hospital and is likely to live.
According to LMPD officials, officers detained Deonte Bell, 20, on an active arrest warrant.
Bell is charged with one crime of first-degree assault (complicity), one count of wanton endangerment (first-degree discharge of a firearm) (complicity), and one count of Firearms Discharged Prohibited. He’s also being jailed on a separate charge of theft by unlawful taking.
