The Brownsville Police Department continues to investigate a shooting in a West Tennessee park, where officers discovered five individuals with gunshot injuries.
On Friday night, officers responded to a park on Key Corner Street and discovered five injured people, all of whom were brought to the hospital. According to a statement from Haywood County Schools, a student named Saturah Hayes died as a result of her injuries.
HCS announced the early cancellation of the prom due to the incidents.
Haywood County Schools has stated that schools would close on Monday to allow families and students to grieve.
