Roosevelt Chapman Jr., the Flyers’ all-time top scorer, was apprehended Monday.
On Monday afternoon, Chapman was taken into the Montgomery County Jail on suspicion of kidnapping and felony assault.
He played for the University of Dayton Flyers from 1980 until 1984.
In 1984, he led his squad to the NCAA Tournament’s Elite Eight.
He became the university’s all-time leading scorer, with 2,233 points.
Chapman was named into the University of Dayton Athletic Hall of Fame in 1994.
