Officers responded to a report of a vehicle crashing into a home in the 6000 block of Cooper Chapel Road around 3:15 p.m. Monday.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A woman has died after crashing into a house on Cooper Chapel Road Monday evening, according to Louisville Metro Police.
Police responded around 3:15 p.m. to reports of a vehicle striking a home in the 6000 block of Cooper Chapel Road, LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis said.
Preliminary findings indicate the woman was driving a pickup truck when she veered off the road for unknown reasons and collided with the house.
Authorities confirmed that no one was inside the home at the time of the crash.
The driver was transported to UofL Hospital, where she later died from her injuries. She has been identified as 66-year-old Mary Larson.
LMPD’s Traffic Unit is continuing to investigate the incident.
