Suspect Arrested in Kentucky in Nashville Road Rage Shooting

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) — A man accused of shooting and injuring another driver during a road rage incident on West End Avenue in March has been arrested in Kentucky, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

Police said 20-year-old Donovan Davis was taken into custody on Nashville warrants charging him with attempted murder and use of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony. He is currently being held at the Marshall County Jail while awaiting extradition to Nashville.

According to investigators, the incident occurred on March 12 when a 34-year-old man turned onto West End Avenue in front of a white Kia Optima. The driver of the Kia allegedly began driving aggressively, prompting the victim to pull into a parking lot at 2312 West End.

Police said the Kia followed him into the lot, where a backseat passenger began yelling before opening fire on the victim’s vehicle.

The victim was struck in the back and subsequently crashed into a parked car, authorities said. The suspect vehicle then made a U-turn and fled the scene along West End Avenue.

The injured man was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment.

Authorities previously arrested the Kia’s driver, 27-year-old Sirabi Davis of Pulaski, earlier this month. She faces an attempted murder charge and is being held on a $75,000 bond.
