Louisville — A woman was hospitalized following a shooting in the Shawnee neighborhood Sunday afternoon, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department.
Officers responded just before 4:30 p.m. to the 100 block of South 39th Street after receiving reports of gunfire.
When they arrived, police found a woman suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers provided aid at the scene until she was transported to a nearby hospital.
Authorities said her injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
Police confirmed that all individuals involved have been identified and accounted for. The case is being investigated by LMPD’s Domestic Violence Unit.
Officials have not released further details about what led to the shooting, and the investigation remains ongoing.
