Man Killed in Shooting in Louisville’s Algonquin Neighborhood

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man has died following a late-night shooting in Algonquin neighborhood.

According to Louisville Metro Police Department, officers responded around 11 p.m. to the 900 block of Algonquin Parkway, where they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office later identified the victim as 37-year-old Desmond Mitchell.

Police said “all parties have been accounted for and are being questioned” as part of the investigation.

LMPD’s Homicide Unit is leading the case.
