KENTUCKY — One person was injured in a shooting early Sunday morning in Lexington, according to police.

The Lexington Police Department said officers responded around 2:26 a.m. to the 5000 block of Athens Boonesboro Road following reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found one individual suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Police said no suspect information is available at this time.

Detectives continue to investigate and are asking anyone with information to contact Lexington police or submit an anonymous tip through Bluegrass Crime Stoppers.
