Police investigate after man shot near Old Louisville restaurant

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville police are investigating a shooting that left a man injured near an Old Louisville restaurant.

Officers responded to the 200 block of St. Catherine Street, near Dizzy Whizz, just before 5 p.m. Friday after receiving reports of a shooting, according to Louisville Metro Police spokesperson Aaron Ellis.

When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot in the leg. Ellis said the victim was alert and conscious while being transported to University of Louisville Hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

LMPD’s Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is leading the investigation. At this time, police have no suspects and have made no arrests.
