Broader context in Kentucky death penalty cases
The decision comes as Attorney General Coleman asks courts to lift a nearly 15-year pause on carrying out death sentences in Kentucky. The state Supreme Court is currently considering whether Gov. Andy Beshear has the authority to sign new death warrants.
