Man hospitalized after being shot multiple times near downtown Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A man was hospitalized after a shooting near downtown Louisville on Saturday evening.

Louisville police said officers responded around 7:54 p.m. on Feb. 28 to reports of a shooting in the area of 2nd and York. When they arrived, they found a man who had been shot in the leg, stomach and shoulder. Police said he had also crashed a vehicle near the scene. He was transported to UofL Hospital and is expected to survive.

LMPD’s Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is handling the investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the LMPD Anonymous Tip Line at (502) 574-LMPD (5673) or submit a tip through LMPD’s online Crime Tip portal.
