Someone in western Kentucky could be in for a surprise after a winning lottery ticket sold in Bowling Green in 2025 remains unclaimed.

Take another look at those Lucky for Life tickets — the holder of that ticket has won $25,000 a year for life. The winning numbers from the Oct. 21, 2025 drawing were 8—9—15—31—32, with a Lucky Ball of 12. Jr. Foods in Bowling Green sold the ticket.

The winner must claim the prize at lottery headquarters and has 180 days from the draw date to do so. If the winner does not claim the ticket by Friday, April 17, 2026, officials will transfer the $282,750 prize into the Kentucky Educational Excellence Scholarship (KEES) reserve fund.

In 2025, the Kentucky Lottery paid out more than $1.6 billion in prizes. Lottery proceeds have funded scholarships and grants for more than 1.1 million Kentucky college students.
