One Person Arrested Following Kidnapping Incident in Kentucky

KENTUCKY — A Glasgow man faces multiple charges after police say he assaulted two women and kidnapped a child during a disturbance at a home Thursday.

According to the Glasgow Police Department, officers responded to a call at a residence on Lexington Drive and launched an investigation. Police allege that 42-year-old Troy Lawson went to the home, assaulted two women, then entered a bedroom, took a child and left the residence.

Officers later found Lawson and the child a short distance away. Authorities said the child was safely returned home without injuries.

Police arrested Lawson and charged him with kidnapping a minor, endangering the welfare of a minor, second-degree assault, fourth-degree assault involving minor injury, second-degree burglary and public intoxication.

Jail records indicate that no bond has been set.
