Man allegedly trying to force woman into trunk leads to Kentucky drug bust, two arrested

KENTUCKY — Two people are facing drug charges after Scottsville police responded to a report that a man was attempting to place a woman into the trunk of a vehicle.

According to the Scottsville Police Department, officers were dispatched to Casey’s gas station on New Gallatin Road on Feb. 10 after receiving reports of suspicious activity.

Police identified the male suspect as 47-year-old Michael P. Lyon of Illinois. During their investigation, officers say they found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Authorities arrested Lyon and charged him with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication.

Police also arrested a co-defendant, 44-year-old Brandy L. Ozuna of Wisconsin. She faces charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance – second offense (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officials lodged both suspects in the Allen County Jail.
