Demaurion Moore, 20, now faces charges of assault and inciting a riot.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Authorities have filed additional charges against one of the suspects accused in a deadly shooting at a JCPS bus stop. He now faces new allegations of inciting a riot at LMDC.

Demaurion Moore, 20, has been charged with assault and inciting a riot. His arrest slip states the incident occurred in October.

Court documents show surveillance video inside LMDC captured Moore and two other inmates fighting over a stolen item. As officers attempted to provide medical attention, at least four other inmates began fighting among themselves.

Officials have also listed the six other inmates allegedly involved in the altercation as co-defendants.

Moore remains in custody on multiple charges, including complicity to murder in connection with the shooting death of Tyree Smith. The shooting took place at a JCPS bus stop in September 2021.

Moore was 16 years old at the time. That case has not yet gone to trial.
