As the eastern United States prepares for an incoming winter storm, Meteorologist Madness has already taken over Kentucky. On Friday, the 11 participating meteorologists submitted their official snowfall predictions for Lexington and Louisville, which were read on air at the end of Friday’s KSR show. If you missed it, here are the final forecasts for the contest.

What is KSR’s Meteorologist Madness?

.If you’re not familiar, it’s quickly become one of the biggest events in Kentucky. The first-of-its-kind competition pits local meteorologists against one another in a pick’em-style snowfall contest. Instead of broad forecasts for their usual audiences, 11 meteorologists agreed to submit precise snow-total predictions for Lexington and Louisville. The winner will receive a $10,000 donation to the charity of their choice.

The competition is all in good fun and supports a great cause, and the organizers thanked all of the meteorologists who took part in the unique head-to-head challenge.

The winners will be announced Monday after official snowfall measurements are taken at each city’s airport. Until then, stay safe, check on your neighbors, and take care.
