LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) — A jury has convicted a Louisville man of helping to shoot his half-brother to death alongside another individual.

Corionte Fant was found guilty of complicity to murder and complicity to wanton endangerment.

Prosecutors said that on May 3, 2023, Fant and another person—who has been arrested but not yet tried—shot Jo’Cori Harris Jr. multiple times, killing him. During the trial, jurors saw eyewitness testimony, shell casings linked to Fant’s gun, and video surveillance showing the defendants discussing their plans just minutes before the shooting.

The jury recommended Fant serve 25 years for complicity to murder and five years for complicity to wanton endangerment, to run concurrently. A judge is set to issue Fant’s official sentence on March 4.

Jo’Cori Harris Sr., the victim’s father, is the other accused shooter in the case. He is expected back in court on Feb. 5.
