An earthquake briefly rattled parts of LA’s South Bay early Sunday, catching residents by surprise overnight.
The US Geological Survey measured the quake at magnitude 3.2, with its epicenter about 2 miles southeast of Compton. It struck shortly after midnight, around 12:15 a.m.
According to the USGS, the earthquake originated nearly 8 miles beneath the surface.
The earthquake epicenter was located 2 miles southeast of Compton.
Many people in the area reported feeling the shaking.
There were no reports of any injuries or damage.
