Winter Weather Advisories remain in effect for the mountains of Southwest Virginia, East Tennessee, Southeast Kentucky, and Western North Carolina until 10 a.m. Thursday.
Wind Advisories cover most of the region as well, lasting through tomorrow evening in the lower elevations and until Thursday morning in the mountains. Wind gusts could reach 35–40 mph.
Wind gusts will vary across the region over the next 24 to 36 hours.

Wind chills will drop into the teens across the Tri-Cities.

Friday will bring partly cloudy skies and a 30% chance of morning snow showers. The high will be 46 degrees.
Friday night will be partly cloudy with a low of 31 degrees.
Saturday will be partly cloudy with a high of 47 degrees.
Saturday night will be partly cloudy with a low of 25 degrees.
Sunday will be mostly cloudy with a 30% chance of snow showers. The high will be 30 degrees, and wind chills will likely drop into the single digits.
Sunday night will be partly cloudy with a low of 14 degrees. Wind chills will again be in the single digits.
Monday will feature mostly clear skies and a high of 33 degrees.
Monday night will stay mostly clear with a low of 18 degrees.
Tuesday will be mostly clear with a high of 44 degrees.
Tuesday night will be mostly clear with a low of 25 degrees.
