Police Searching for Suspect in Deadly Kentucky Shooting

KENTUCKY — Kentucky State Police are looking for a man connected to the fatal shooting of a woman Monday afternoon.

Around 1 p.m., officers responded to Simpson Lane in the Ekron community, where they found 55-year-old Mary Crase dead from at least one gunshot wound.

Investigators are searching for 45-year-old Scott Hornback of Irvington, who fled before officers arrived. Hornback is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police warn that Hornback is armed and dangerous and urge anyone who spots him to avoid contact and call authorities immediately.

The Meade County Sheriff’s Office is assisting in the ongoing investigation.
