ROGIET, Wales — A nine-month-old baby has died following a tragic dog attack in the village of Crossway, Rogiet, police confirmed Sunday evening.
Gwent Police said officers and paramedics from the Welsh Ambulance Service responded to a home around 6 p.m. The infant was pronounced dead at the scene despite emergency efforts.
Chief Superintendent John Davies expressed condolences and assured the community that a full investigation is underway.

Police confirmed that the dog involved in the attack has been seized and removed from the property as the investigation continues.
