Two Russellville men arrested after drug bust in Kentucky

KENTUCKY — Two men from Russellville were arrested Tuesday night after police said their vehicle nearly hit several cars.

According to the Adairville Police Department, officers saw a vehicle turning onto US 431 South and crossing the center line multiple times while heading southbound.

Police initiated a traffic stop and immediately noticed a strong smell of marijuana coming from the car.

The driver, 32-year-old Quinton Posey, was asked to step out. During a search, officers found cocaine on him, leading to his arrest. The passenger, 24-year-old Emmanuel Leavell, was also found carrying cocaine and taken into custody.

Posey faces several charges, including reckless driving, DUI (first offense), possession of drug paraphernalia, first-degree possession of cocaine (first offense), and improper or erratic lane change. Leavell faces first-degree possession of cocaine (first offense).

Both men are being held at the Logan County Detention Center.
