LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville Metro Police say 84-year-old Julia Miller, who was reported missing from the Fern Creek area Friday evening, has been found safe.

As of 11:45 p.m. on Oct. 17, police confirmed that Miller was located and is doing well.

A Golden Alert had been issued earlier in the evening after Miller went missing around 5 p.m. from the 5000 block of Volney Court. Police believed she had likely walked toward Michael Edward Drive and Stony Brook Drive, near Bardstown Road in Fern Creek.

Authorities said Miller has diminished capacity and was “likely lost or disoriented.” She had no phone or personal belongings with her when she disappeared.

At the time, she was last seen wearing a green sweater and light-colored pants, standing 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds.

Louisville police thanked the public for their help and quick response in safely locating Miller.
