LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Louisville Metro Police have made a second arrest in the murder investigation of a woman killed at the Shawnee Boat Ramp.
On September 14, authorities discovered 32-year-old Rachael Hughes of Louisville had been shot to death at the boat ramp. Two days later, 27-year-old Michael Bullock was arrested and charged with murder, robbery, abuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
On September 26, police arrested a juvenile suspect, who was not named, charging them with receiving stolen property valued at $10,000 or more, abuse of a corpse, and tampering with physical evidence.
Court documents indicate that after Bullock allegedly shot Hughes, he returned to the scene 45 minutes later with the juvenile suspect. The pair allegedly dragged Hughes’ body into a wooded area.
Authorities also say surveillance footage shows the juvenile driving Hughes’ car down the boat ramp to pick up Bullock after he allegedly threw the victim’s phone into the river. Both then left the scene together.
