A security worker is recovering after being stabbed after an incident with two women he refused to allow inside a nightclub.

Minneapolis police say they responded to a reported stabbing in the 3200 block of 2nd Street North just after 4 a.m. Sunday.
Officers then discovered a man suffering from stab wounds. He is expected to survive after being transported to the hospital.
Investigators believe the man was employed as a security guard at an after-hours club. He then refused to allow two women in their twenties into the club. According to police, the women abused the man before one of them stabbed him.
Police said they detained both ladies on assault counts.
As of Sunday afternoon, there were no charging documents available for the incident.
