The United States has issued a “warning” for two states expecting 60 MPH gusts and “ping pong ball” sized hail on Monday, August 10.
The National Weather Service issued a “Severe Thunderstorm Warning” for two US states on Monday morning.
“People and animals in the outdoors will be wounded. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and cars. “Expect damage to trees and power lines,” the alert warns.
“For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.”
The notice mentions two U.S. states:
- Ohio
- Pennsylvania
Specifically, in Ohio, areas include: Akron, Medina, Ravenna, Cuyahoga Falls, Kent, Barberton, Hudson, Wadsworth, Twinsburg, Tallmadge, Streetsboro, Macedonia, Mogadore, Garrettsville, Mantua, Stow, Broadview Heights, Aurora, Brecksville, and Norton; Ashtabula, Conneaut, Geneva-On-The-Lake, Cortland, Geneva, North Kingsville, Kinsman, North Bloomfield, Orwell, Andover, West Farmington, Bristolville, Mecca, Austinburg, Johnston, Kingsville, Hartsgrove, Roaming Shores, Pierpont, and Cherry Valley; Cleveland, Painesville, Willowick, Chardon, Fairport Harbor, Euclid, Mentor, Cleveland Heights, Solon, Willoughby, Twinsburg, Eastlake, Warrensville Heights, Macedonia, South Russell, Madison, Middlefield, Perry, Burton, and Highland Hills.
