WAYNE COUNTY, Ky. — A Monticello man is facing multiple charges after deputies say he was found walking nude along a local highway earlier this week.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a report of a naked man walking on KY 3286. When officers arrived, they found James K. King, who reportedly told deputies he was "going to get some pants."
Deputies said King appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance and became disorderly during his arrest, allegedly kicking the door of the patrol vehicle several times while being transported to jail.
King was charged with:
-
Second-degree indecent exposure
-
Public intoxication (controlled substance)
-
Second-degree disorderly conduct
In addition to those charges, King was also arrested on six outstanding Wayne County District Court warrants. Those warrants include charges of contempt of court, failure to appear, criminal trespassing, public intoxication, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Court records show King had previously left a rehabilitation facility under an agreed court order related to several of his prior charges.
He is currently being held at the Wayne County Detention Center as the legal process moves forward.
A healthy Clay County requires great community news.
