Loretta W. Clark, 78, went home to be with her Lord March 29, 2025, at her home.
Born October 29, 1946, in Clay, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Herman Woods and Stella Woods Ohmit. Loretta was a loving wife, sister, and friend. Sharing her childhood memories of growing up on a large farm with horses, cows and the various crops always brought a smile to her face. She talked about how she enjoyed traveling all over the United States. As a military wife, she lived in a number of states. She loved to cook, travel, crochet, and make jewelry that she gave to those she met. She devoted her life to helping and serving others. She enjoyed a long career working at Uniforms by John, and Burns' Gift Shop. She served her Lord with her talents of cooking for the church, and planning and hosting church trips. She served on the Benevolence and Friendship Committees and taught the Adult Sunday School for over ten years. She loved people and was deeply loved by many.
Loretta was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Dale Clark.
She is survived by her loving and devoted partner, Gerald Wayne Grooms of Lamar; a sister, Ruth Gay of Salem, Indiana; a brother, Robert Ohmit of Oneida, Kentucky; and her fur babies, Annabelle and Missy.
She had a precious and sweet soul and will be missed.
A private burial will be in the Ft. Jackson National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home.
