Two people are dead, and two others are injured following a multi-vehicle crash involving a dump truck, according to Cleveland Police.
The collision happened Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 176 South at the Spring Road entry ramp. Police claimed a dump truck heading southbound on the freeway collided with a Jeep Patriot that had slowed due to traffic conditions.
According to police, the impact from the collision forced the Jeep to continue forward and collide with a Ford E-350. The Jeep flipped and caught fire.
Police say the Ford struck the median and overturned.
Both occupants of the Jeep were pronounced deceased on the scene. Police say their ages are unclear at this time.
A 70-year-old man and lady sat in the Ford. They were sent to a local hospital in unclear condition.
According to authorities, a 35-year-old man was operating the dump truck and was not hurt in the incident.
The crash is still being investigated, and no further information is available.
