A teenager was detained Tuesday night after reportedly shoving a store owner, stealing vapes, and kicking a Madison police officer.
According to Madison Police Department officials, officers were dispatched to the 600 block of State Street about 8:20 p.m. Tuesday after a store owner reported a masked individual entering the store, pushing him, and stealing vapes.
cops discovered the suspect in a different store, and while being apprehended, he allegedly kicked the cops. One of the officers received treatment at a local hospital.
The 15-year-old suspect was taken to the Juvenile Reception Center, where he is charged with robbery—strong arm; resisting arrest resulting in a soft tissue injury; and trespassing.
